Time flies so they say.
Daniellah recently turned ten months and she can do a lot of things already. She does a lot of baby talk, and boy is she talkative. She has already a tooth sticking out which is quite cute. hehe
She can "close-open" her hands, wave goodbye, high five, down low, and she can already walk. She can even run (in her own cute little way). She's better than me. My mom and dad said that I was able to walk when I was eleven months, but she can already run even before turning ten.
It will only be a matter of time before my baby will turn into a lady. And I'm excited ... and scared. :)
Here are more pics of our baby:

Here's a pic taken at Southcom Village Alliance Evangelical Fellowship. It's the church where my dad is the resident pastor.

My wife and I printed the alphabet and glued it to the wall in our bedroom. See how smart our baby is. She's already reading ... and she's only 8 months old!!!!! :)

She's so cute even when she's crying her heart out.

First, my baby is now almost nine months old. She has grown in beauty, height... and weight (hehe). I will be posting photos of her when time permits. fact is, we've had internet connection for three weeks now, but I have been busy that I was not able to update the blog.
I am now in the teaching ministry, educating students in a wonderful school named Bethany Child Development Center. I am teaching Computer to the First and Second Year High School and Character Education to the Third Year High School students. My wife also teaches in the school and at the same time serves as the Guidance Counselor. I won't lie. This is challenging for the both of us but God has always been with us and we are having the time of our lives with our co-teachers as well as the students.

A few years ago, Prime Minister Mori was given some basic English conversation training before he visits Washington and meets president Bill Clinton...
The instructor told Mori Prime Minister, when you shake hand with President Clinton, please say 'how r u'.
Then Mr. Clinton should say, 'I am fine, and you?' Now, you should say 'me too'. Afterwards we, translators, will do the work for you.'
It looks quite simple, but the truth is...
When Mori met Clinton , he mistakenly said
'Who r u?' (instead of 'How r u?'. )
Mr. Clinton was a bit shocked but still managed to react with humor:
'Well, I'm Hillary's husband, ha-ha...'
Then Mori replied
'me too, ha-ha.. .'.
Then there was a long silence in the meetingroom.

EVER WONDER?
Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin ?
Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?
Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?
Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?
Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?
Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?
Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?
Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?
Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
JUST WONDERING ALOUD!!!

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was tired of hearing all the bickering.
Finally fed up, God said, "THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job.."
So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.
They moused.
They faxed.
They e-mailed.
They e-mailed with attachments.
They downloaded.
They did spreadsheets!
They wrote reports.
They created labels and cards.
They created charts and graphs.
They did some genealogy reports
They did every job known to man.
Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell.
Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured,
And, of course, the power went off.
Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld.
Jesus just sighed.
Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their computers.
Satan started searching frantically, screaming: It's gone! It's all GONE! "I lost everything when the power went out!"
Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours of work.
Satan observed this and became irate.
"Wait!" he screamed. "That's not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don't have any?"
God just shrugged and said,
"JESUS SAVES"

One of the most touching movie i have ever seen, this is a must-see for all. This is also a good evangelism tool and without giving anything away, the father in the movie is like God who gave His all for the sake of people who do not even know the Cost of His love for us.

My wife and I are now reading a book by Phillip Yancey titled "The Jesus I Never Knew". It's really a good book and we were blessed because it portrayed Jesus in a different light. Here's a quote on what the book is about:
"Yancey offers a new and different perspective on the life of Christ and his work -- his teaching, his miracles, his death and resurrection -- and ultimately, who he was and why he came. Relating the gospel events to the world we live in today, The Jesus I Never Knew gives a moving and refreshing portrait of the central figure of history. With a willingness to tackle difficult questions, Yancey looks at the radical words of this itinerant Jewish carpenter and asks whether we are taking him seriously enough in our own day and age. From the manger in Bethlehem to the cross in Jerusalem, Yancey presents a complex character who generates questions as well as answers; a disturbing and exhilarating Jesus who wants to radically transform your life and stretch your faith."

I just recently saw in youtube some talented guitarists that are not that popular in some parts of the world. Canon rock by jerryc is nice, especially since it is his arrangement. But i really like the version of mattrach. Check this out:
It's been a while since i posted on this blog. My daughter just turned 4 months a few days ago. Boy, she's growing up fast.

| The song "Aloha Oe" is the only song that can put my baby to sleep. Haaheo e ka ua i na pali | Proudly sweeps the rain cloud by the cliffs |
| Ke nihi ae la i kanahele | As onward it glides thru the trees |
| E uhai ana paha i ka liko | It seems to be following the liko |
| Pua a hihi lehua o u | The a hihi lehua of the vale |
| Aloha oe, aloha oe, | Aloha oe, farewell to thee, |
| E ke onaona noho i ka lipo | Thou charming one who dwells among the bowers |
| One fond embrace, a hoi ae au | One fond embrace, before I now depart |
| Until we meet again, until we meet again. | Until we meet again, until we meet again |
| O ka halia aloha kai hihi mai | Thus sweet memories come back to me |
| Ke hone ae nei i kuu manawa. | Bringing fresh remembrance of the past |
| O oe no ka'u ipo aloha | Dearest one, yes, thou art mine own |
| A loko e hana nei. | From the true love shall ne'er depart |
| Maopopo kuu iki i ka nani, | I have seen and watched the loveliness |
| Na pua rose o Maunawili, | Thou sweet rose of Maunawili |
| Ilaila hiaai ai na manu, | And 'tis there the birds oft love to dwell |
| Mikiala i ka nani o ka liko. | And sip the honey from thy lips |

I’ve been married for almost a year now. About two months ago, my daughter was born. I could not put into words what I felt at that time. Looking at my baby through the glass outside the nursery at the hospital, I want to shout and yet I just want to just stare at her silently and cry. I didn’t, of course, but my heart was just full of emotions I could barely understand them.
My wife had been in labor since the night before and the pain was just too much for her. We had to transfer to another hospital because the doctor couldn’t just wait. He said my wife would not have a normal delivery; she would have to go through C-section. My wife as screaming her guts out in the ambulance as we proceeded to the next hospital. By the time we got to the delivery room, our baby just popped out. She was so weak coming out of the delivery room, she could not say a word when she first saw our baby.
Carrying our precious daughter for the very first time was surreal. Here was a teeny, tiny person resting in my arms, whose very life was literally and figuratively at the palm of my hand. A tear just fell out of my wife’s eye as we were both glad that the hard part was over. Or so we thought.
We used to live away from my parents. But due to unexpected circumstances, I’m back here at home again. This is only temporary as we plan our future as a family. Raising my daughter is not quite as smooth as I thought it would be. My sleeping habits changed. My daughter has the uncanny ability to wake up and cry every time I go to bed. So I have to sleep every time my baby sleeps or else I may be weak and drowsy every time she wakes up.
But I wouldn’t change anything. I love my daughter and even though it’s hard, I enjoy raising her and taking care of her. There are many lessons to be learned as a first-time dad. And I’m learning each and every one of them.
